I’d buy at least one 220 CFM WITH DEHUMIDISTAT $150 +/-
1. Yes it is silly expensive.
2. If mold starts to grow the mold will cost THOUSANDS at a minimum and well up into the TENS of THOUSANDS.
3. If mold starts to grow the mold you and your family can get very sick very quickly.
4. It automatically turns off when temperatures are below freezing so your pipes do not freeze,
5. The humidistat makes sure it only runs when the crawl space is humid so it does not waste power.
6. If you have more than one crawl space consider putting it in the smallest crawl space that has less natural airflow so it can move as much air as possible in an area that now has stagnant air.
7. If your budget allows buying two with one fan blowing air in and the other fan pulling air out for balanced fresh air exchange and far better result.
FYI: Installation of a dehumidifier when the crawl space vents to the exterior will be very expensive as the dehumidifier will be working very hard to dehumidify the planet.
