Home Owner And Other Opinions
Quite often home owners and others have opinions that differ from my opinion.
Sometimes home buyers are provided with information from others that is in direct conflict with the contents of their home inspection reports.
When this occurs I recommend that our clients obtain the following four documents from the person providing the differing opinion:
1. The resume of the person providing the differing opinion.
2. An explanation as to why they believe they are correct.
3. An explanation as to why my opinion is incorrect.
4. A written representation (satisfactory to your attorney) indicating that person providing the differing opinion will be financially responsible for any costs you incur for taking their opinion as fact vs. my opinion.
