Water heater vehicle stop bollard not installed, hints from a home inspector
Water heater vehicle stop (bollard) not installed : water heaters must be protected from vehicular damage. Should protection not be provided, the installation of a protective device, often called a pipe bollard, is advised. Bollards may be installed by bolting to the floor or by drilling the floor to accept a large pipe (about 4" in
diameter). Most home improvement stores will have the necessary supplies. Contact a plumbing contractor for assistance if necessary.
