If you are reading this I am just about sure your domestic hot water in your home is too hot or not hot enough and you are looking to adjust your hot water control on your water heater.

The ideal temperature for hot water is about 120F degrees if you wish to avoid being burned. If you do not mind being burned you may find dishwasher soap likes a higher temperature. I would prefer you not burn yourself and buy liquid dishwasher soap.

It is easier to raise the temperature more than wait for a burn to heal. Run hot water for ten min or so into a coffee cup in the kitchen sink and check the temperature with meat thermometer.
