Water cooled condenser AC
Water cooled condenser: These
systems work very much as do the air cooled condensers except that the
condenser coils are cooled with water, or in effect, the heat from the
building is discharged into the water source instead of into the air.
Although there are safety relays that normally prevent the compressor
from operating without a water supply, it is possible. Be certain the
water source is operating at all times during the operation of the air
conditioner to prevent over heating of the unit. The water cooled air
conditioner is quieter than its air cooled counterpart during operation
and usually has less moving parts. The compressor pump can be installed
anywhere, even in a closet, since it does not need outside air to cool.
As with air cooled systems the routine cleaning of any filters is
necessary to keep the system operating smoothly and efficiently.
