Wall floor furnace face grill loose damaged
Wall floor furnace face grill loose damaged : Loose or damaged wall heater faces can be dangerous. The face can become very hot and should it fall to the floor it could damage or burn flooring or furniture or burn anyone standing or sitting nearby. Loose or damaged floor furnace grills may be considered tripping or fire hazards.
Most loose wall heater faces can be secured with a couple of sheet metal screws, usually placed near the top of the access door and into the heating unit. Damaged grills and faces may need to be replaced. Loose floor furnace grills may simply need to be reseated since they are seldom affixed with screws. Use good judgment here since often the proper face or grill is no longer manufactured. Contact a heating contractor for assistance if necessary. Call NJ home inspectors for assistance and more information.
