unvented fireplace, unvented heater, unvented space heater

Unvented gas fireplaces rely on complete burning of the gas. If the gas did not completely burn, carbon monoxide would result. Incomplete combustion can be caused by disturbing the flame with ceiling fans, open doors or windows that allow a breeze to interfere with the flame and by moving or replacing the ceramic logs with unapproved logs. Modifications to this type fireplace can cause hazardous conditions to occur. You are advised to install a carbon monoxide detector in the room with this unit. It is recommended that you have the gas company check all appliances before taking possession of the property and at least once every two years thereafter.

Wood burning stoves Gas log log lighter valve Insert device in fireplace outside air kit Electric fans are installed with many zero clearance prefabricated fireplaces
