New Jersey Mold

NJ Mold Testing, NJ Mold Inspections home inspections

Q: Could I be smelling toxic black mold in my home?
The short answer you do not want to read is yes might.  I do not know the smells of mold enough to differentiate between them nor do I think the experts are even that good.  Of course smelling things to see if they make you sick would be bad science and bad for your health.

In NJ we provide mold testing services and mold inspections.

When we think of bacteria and viruses we think of the common cold and other illnesses.  Both bacteria and viruses need moisture to survive and thrive.  Keeping your home clean can greatly reduce the quantity of air borne bacteria and viruses.  Cleaning duct work, removing humidifiers and the use of an electronic air cleaner may also help.

Strategies That Reduce Growth and Buildup of Biological Pollutants
Are dry homes bacteria and virus free?  No, but you can hold down the numbers of air borne pathogens by keeping your home dry during the summer months.  Too dry is no good either as those who wake u with bloody noses during the winter can tell you.  Keep the moisture in your home to about 40% or so for comfort and to avoid problems.
