Sewer extractor pump, hints from a home inspector
Sewer extractor pump: septic or sewer pumps must be used when the sewer lines of the property are below the street sewer lines. They usually hold a few gallons before a float causes an electric pump to begin operating. The sewage is then pumped up to the level of the sewer system, whether it be city sewer or private septic system. It would be wise to contact a plumbing contractor for initial consultation regarding this system. It is very important you know how to monitor and maintain this system. These systems are ordinarily found in basements and in below grade parking areas. They may also be found in parking lots and other low areas where it is necessary to remove water to the street or to the sewer system.
