Permanent heat source for habitable room Each habitable room should have a permanent heat source. Many types of heaters qualify but all must be permanently installed. Although the heater must maintain a certain temperature throughout the room at a certain height above the floor, the inspector will not attempt to ascertain whether this requirement has been met.
uneven distribution
Uneven distribution is common in two story and in long or large structures with one heating or cooling system without zone controls. Low air flow at one or more registers may indicate damaged ducting, an improperly installed distribution system, or an insufficiently sized system. Often however, adjustments of the registers may be all that is needed. It is recommended that you contact a qualified HVAC contractor for further information and corrections if and as needed.
