Fixture faucet or valve plumbed in reverse hot on cold side: while this situation is for the most part a simple inconvenience, in rare circumstances someone may be burned by the water coming from the "cold" side. In the case of showers and tubs the situation will not be practical to remedy. Reverse designation face covers are available and are often installed as a remedy. If however the problem is at a sink simply reverse the supply pipes under the sink. If you need assistance contact a handyman service or home repair service.

sewer clean-out may be buried slightly below the surface of the ground.
new sewer clean-out on an older building may be an indicator of past or present sewer problems.
