Home Inspection Business Plan
Steps to a Successful Home Inspection Business
In life there are leaders and there are followers. Those who lead are destined to succeed, those who follow will get lost along the way. This does not just apply to the Home Inspection Business, but life itself. There are the doers, and there are the takers. If you want someone to hand you success, you can wait on the next corner for 20 years and blame the world for why you have not been discovered. If you want to have success, you need to earn it. You start at the bottom and work your way up.
In the Home Inspection Business especially, you must have a drive to succeed. The first thing to do is set obtainable goals. You cannot start a Home Inspection Business without a plan, and being a real estate agent or investor for that matter, must have a plan. Make sure you can achieve it. If you have never dealt in real estate, don’t expect to make $100,000 in your first year, just because someone in the company was capable of doing it. If you do this you will fail, and you will not continue towards your goal. If you set your standards to one sale in the first three months, this may be accessible.
Second you need to review your goals often in the beginning, this way you know what needs improvement. If you have already completed your goal early, set another one, a higher one. Think of it as a ladder to success. Without a plan your home inspectin business will fail.
You also need to write down your sphere of influence. Anyone who has done sales before, is probably familiar with how this works. If not, pay attention. In the center of the sphere is you, the surrounding layer is your friends and family. You reach out to them, let them know what you have decided to attempt. Then ask them to let their friends know, this would be the following layer. Eventually what was 8 people has now become 30 or more. (hopefully) This sphere is important to both investors and salespeople. By utilizing the sphere as an investor, you can get the scoop, who is looking and who is selling and who is or will be in need of using your Home Inspection.
What ever your venture in real estate is, you need to know what you are doing. Being a sales person can open you up to a lawsuit if one of many regulations are not followed. Being an investor and being unaware of the business or the market can prove to be very costly in the long run, even detrimental. This is where a specific plan or set of goals will help keep you on track. A plan combined with determination equals success.
