fireplace combustion air, fireplace smoke

Outside combustion air available to fireplace: An "outside air kit" is a duct system which allows fireplaces, and the like, to receive oxygen to support the combustion process. Without an outside air kit the flame can use up the oxygen within a room. This is especially true in today's closed and tight houses and in smaller buildings such as mobile homes. Open a window or two when using a fireplace or wood burning stove which does not have an outside air duct installed. The uniform building inspection report
