Electric high efficiency air filterElectric high efficiency air filter humidifier inoperative These units, when operating properly, contain extreme high voltages and great care should be exercised when performing maintenance on them. Most of the filter inserts (the metal ones) can be washed out with ordinary water and dish soap. Some can be inserted into your dishwasher and cleaned. It is important that you thoroughly dry the filter before reinserting it into the unit. Some units also have charcoal filters. The charcoal filter cannot be washed and must be replaced. Most problems associated with electronic air cleaners and humidifiers cannot be repaired by the property owner. It is therefore suggested that you contact an air conditioning or heating company for further advice.
