Supply and waste cross connection potential faucet spout extends below flood rim, hints from a home inspector
Supply and waste cross connection potential faucet spout extends below flood rim
Examples of this may be a garden hose connected to a faucet and to a drain line, a faucet spout which extends below the flood rim of a lavatory or other sink, a dishwasher without an air-gap in the drain line, a sprinkler system without anti-siphon valves above the highest sprinkler head, or there may be no anti-siphon valve, a fountain or pool with a direct connected water supply with no anti-back flow device installed, etc. This is a health hazard that may be serious. Pollutants in the waste water could be transferred to the potable water supply. Contact a plumbing contractor for assistance and an additional opinion.
