CAULK CORNERS OF TUB / SHOWER SURROUND: The
"surround" simply means "the
walls," whether they be glass, tile,
Masonite®, drywall, or other material around a
tub or shower. The surround should be as water
proof as possible, and at a minimum, should be
water resistant. Water seeping through corner
cracks, whether they be vertical or horizontal,
obviously could be damaging to the
structure.
