The filters may be in front of the evaporator case, below the heater, or they may be in the return air grill. Change every 2 to 3 months. See that the coolant lines running between the units are not damaged and that the insulation wrapped around them is intact. If together is indicated it usually means the system is a dual-pac (gas-pack) or a complete air-conditioning system separate from the heater a service contract with a heating/air conditioning contractor is always a good idea and is recommended.
