One of the best ways to keep your home cleaner is to purchase a high quality vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter.  Most people do not realize when they vacuum their home with a conventional vacuum much of the fine particles of dirt and quite possibly lead paint dust are blown right back into the home. Sure HEPA vacuums are more expensive but over the long term they are likely to prove their worth.
