Dust mites are microscopic bugs that live in material within your home.  They can cause allergic reactions.  Washing bedding and sofa coverings in hot (130F) degree water is necessary to kill them.  Dust mites are brought into your home in your clothing and other materials.  Dust mites prefer to live in wool and cotton rather than synthetic materials.
