Air-cleaning Devices
Many types of air cleaners are
available. Some are much more effective
than others. Some electrically powered air
cleaners use positive and negative charged
plates to remove partials from the air.
Other fancy filters are pleated so they have
more surface area. Regardless of what type
air cleaner you purchase it is most important
that it be cleaned in strict accordance with the
manufactures directions or it will not be
effective.
Duct Cleaning
Does duct cleaning actually
work? The jury is out as the lawyers like
to say. I had my ducts cleaned a few years
ago and was shocked at the amount of dirt inside
my ducts. The quantity of construction
debris was appalling. I encourage all new
home owners to get their ducts cleaned as
quickly as possible. Those who are allergic
to smoke and or animals are likely to notice an
immediate benefit.
