ROOF LEAK EVIDENCE NOTED: 
The inspector noted a possible roof leak evidenced by stains on rafters, etc., or he or she may have actually noted a leak during rains. Generally these stains are old and any leaks have long since been repaired, however, the inspector cannot possibly ascertain whether this is the case and the roof may, in fact, presently leak. It is also possible that the inspector noted buckets, pans, and/or plastic tarps in the attic. This usually indicates ongoing leaks if the roof is very old and no repairs are apparent.
