Paing peeling, paint lifting, paint appears moldy, paint problemsPAINT PEELING / LIFTING / APPEARS MOLDY: Our concern is mostly that damage to the walls may occur if this condition is allowed to remain unchanged and that some people are highly allergic to certain molds and fungi. Removal of any mold or fungi, (if actually present) and paint repairs are in order at this time. Sometimes the previous property owner will have left some paint behind which can be used for touch up work. If the paint condition is beyond the touch up stage, prepare to paint the entire area. If you feel you need assistance with this problem you should contact a Painting Contractor. Be aware that older paint may contain lead. Lead paint is considered a health hazard if ingested or inhaled. Any painting project which requires the disturbance of older layers of paint should be preceded by a lead paint test.
