If the crack is not causing a leak or other problem it can often be ignored. Refer to the Report for further information. Cracked water closets or bidets which leak should be replaced. It is recommended that you contact a Plumbing Contractor to have a new fixture installed. Current standards would require 15" from the center of the water closet to any obstructions. either in the bowl or on the underside of the sink. Replacement of the lavatory is usually the only remedy for this problem. Chipped finishes can be touched up with porcelain touch-up paint available at almost all Building Supply Outlets. Checked cultured marble lavatories are usually not repairable. Total replacement is in order if the lavatory begins to leak. Contact a Plumbing Contractor if you need further information or if you plan to replace the lavatory. Remember that "let-in" lavs are much more difficult to replace if they are installed under ceramic tile.
