SOAP
TRAY / GRAB BAR PULLED FROM WALL / MISSING /
AMISS: This item is checked because it is
felt that water may enter the wall cavity or run
behind the surround material through the
weakened spot, hole, or screw holes, which
originally held the soap tray or grab bar. This
item should be repaired as soon as possible if
there is a possibility that water will strike
the area where the tray or bar is/was attached.
Soap trays set in ceramic tile walls will have
to be reset with one of the many adhesives
manufactured for that purpose. Visit a Ceramic
Tile Store to obtain a small amount of this
special adhesive. Apply as directed by the
specialist. Soap trays which were fastened with
screws need only be reattached or tightened up.
Some patch work on the wall may be necessary if
the tray was forced from the wall. It may be
necessary for you to call on the services of a
Ceramic Tile Contractor or Home Repair Service
to help with repairs.
