LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEM INOPERATIVE (various causes):
Whether automatic or manual, sprinkler systems can be inoperative for
many reasons. In most cases the inspector will try to determine the
cause of the failure. Often, especially in older systems, the pipes will
be damaged and/or clogged and the "station" will be shut down
by the property owner. Automatic timers may be dysfunctional causing the
system to be completely inoperative. Sometimes a
"not-so-obvious" supply valve will be shut off and the
unsuspecting inspector will enter this item If you are unable to repair
the system it is recommended that you contact a Landscape Contractor or
a good Handyman for assistance.
