ORNAMENTAL FLAME PIT
PRECAST ORNAMENTAL / FLAME PIT:
Precast ornamentals are quite common. Little known about these harmless
appearing decorative devices is their potential for toppling or falling
from their perches. Being heavy the ornamental may cause injury if it
were to topple onto someone, especially a child. It is of utmost
importance that the ornamental device be initially checked for stability
followed by periodic checks thereafter The inspector will not check
these devices for stability but wishes to bring to your attention these
adverse possibilities. Typical storage shed. These are not inspected.
Since many are built on plywood floors, which touch the earth, increased
maintenance is usually expected Occasionally look for rust and corrosion
on metal buildings and keep well painted. Keep hinges and door rollers
well lubricated.
