GAS OUTLET / BAR-B-Q:
When this item is entered it indicates the inspector has noted that a
gas line has been installed for the specific use of outdoor grills.
Often this line will simply be a capped pipe protruding through an
exterior wall Further use would require the installation of a gas valve
Gas grills usually are connected to the gas supply pipe with flexible
tubing. Be sure this tubing is placed where it won't be tripped over or
kinked. Make sure unused gas outlets are kept capped--so that if the gas
is inadvertently turned on, gas would not escape Bar-B-Q devices are not
tested by the inspector. If obvious problems are noted the inspector
will usually comment on them.
