ROCKY SOIL (possibility exhibited):
Undisturbed, rocky soils are generally of little concern. Hillside
properties are generally more stable if on undisturbed, rocky soil. No
major action is indicated with this type soil The inspector checks soil
types by sampling only the top one or two inches. The importance of the
soil type found at greater depths may be significant. Since soils so
profoundly affect structures resting upon them you are advised to
consult with a Geotechnical Engineer or other soils expert before taking
possession of the property.
