YARD DRAINS (if visible and discovered):
The operational characteristics of yard drains are not tested by the
inspection company. The inspector will review the condition of readily
visible yard drain covers Yard drains are very helpful in keeping the
yard from being inundated with water during storms. They are especially
vulnerable to clogging with dirt and leaves and other debris It is
important that you keep the yard drains cleared on a monthly basis
Problems with the drains can usually be cleared with a garden hose by
forcing water down the drain.
